Storthoaks, Saskatchewan, located in the far southeast corner of the province, is home to a “tight-knit” community of approximately 100 residents, according to Kevin Mann, a local town council member.

Kevin grew up in Storthoaks, moved away for university, and came back after four years to settle down with his fiance. “It’s the kind of place where your childhood best friend becomes your next door neighbour when you grow up,” he told us.

Recently Storthoaks has celebrated the local Rink’s 50th Birthday. Aside from a rink, the town also boasts a park for children and small-town Bar and Grill, called the Doghouse, for the adults.

While Storthoaks may be small, they have big heart, and if you’re in the area, you’re sure to get a good old-fashioned Saskatchewan welcome!
