If you live in a small town or village like Manor you know that they may be small but they are mighty.

Mayor Lucille Dunn said that at one point they were a little bit stagnant but they are coming back.

"This Summer has been pretty quiet because of COVID but, normally we have our Manor Fun Days in July. We would have the professional bull riders from the Calgary Stampede come down and provide us with an evening of entertainment."

The Village of Manor is an hour and fifteen minutes away from Estevan and right beside Kenosee Lake.

Roughly 320 people live there.

"We have an awful lot of young people here and our school is pretty much full. That keeps us going when school is in."

The fire department now has a strong team and they are doing wonderful things for the community.

"Our rec board in the wintertime has the rink going and that brings a lot of folks into the community as other hockey teams come and play on our rink."

Dunn added that they are slowly but surely picking up the pace.

"We have quite an active over 60 club for the seniors in our community. They do morning exercises, play games and cards, and spend time together."

Even with COVID-19, the village continues to do the things they can by social distancing and practicing good hygiene.
