One Christmas gift you can hope for is a return to more-normal temperatures.
Environment Canada issued extreme-cold warnings across southern Saskatchewan, with wind chill values approaching -50 C Tuesday morning.
The frigid conditions aren't expected to let up until Christmas Day, Sunday.
"Extreme cold puts everyone at risk," read the warning. "Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter."
Environment Canada urges you to bundle up, as frostbite can hit exposed skin within minutes, and check on older friends, family, and neighbours.
Daily highs are forecast to stay in the -20s until Sunday, with overnight lows approaching or hitting -30.
