The Wawota Museum had a fundraising tea and bake sale. And organizer Shirley Corkish with the museum gave me a recap of the day. “We feel it was fairly successful, we figure there were about 70 people.”

“We made $475.00,” and she went on to explain what they will be doing with the funds. “It will be used to keep the Museum open, and we use it to pay the bills. This is an annual event to keep the museum going.”

Shirley continued, “We had some fun contests, such as the person wearing the most rings to the most elderly person in attendance. We gave them spring prizes, like seeds, gardening gloves and tools, things like that.”

Next time your out by Wawota, check out their museum.
