The weekly crop report says the hot weather over the past week has advanced crop development and haying operations across the province.

In the southeast, 62% of the first cut of hay has been either baled or silaged, that's up from 40% last week.

79% of fall cereals are in good to excellent conditions with 92% at or ahead of normal development.

Crop conditions have deteriorated all over the province with most of the crops sitting in the fair category.

Insects were a major source of damage in the Southeast.
