"It's just beautiful here," Chief, Nathan Pasap shared when speaking on behalf of his home of White Bear First Nations. The community is home to four First Nations, the Sauteaux, Cree, Nakota and Dakota.

"I would say the lake here in White Bear is beautiful. We pride ourselves on our resort and also just the beauty of our land. We have a beautiful 18 hole championship golf course."

He invites everyone to enjoy the beach at the lake on the next hot day and then head to the Bear Claw Casino and hotel for great accommodations and a wonderful meal.

There is no shortage of things to do in White Bear.

White Bear has focused on their economic development since the development of the Bear Claw Casino. They hope to invest in more in the future and see more business growth for the community and provide local employment for its people. They are currently working on the water treatment operational in the next five months which will improve the lives of the residents.

But most of all, White Bear is about its people and Chief Pasap shared about one band member making a name for herself. Teagan Littlechief has been singing since she was a little girl and can often be seen singing O Canda at hometown Rider games, including this year's season opener.

"I was at the season opener, I was just walking through the gates when Teagan was singing and we're very proud of Teagan Littlechief. She is a band member, she's an excellent singer and she has some singles out there and lives and works here in White Bear."
