With dozens of winter activities underway

According to Deborah Peterson, the Outreach Coordinator for the Saskatchewan Red Cross, one thing to consider is ice thickness if you're going to be on frozen water.

 

Peterson says ice strength should never be judged by appearance alone. Changing temperatures combined with snowfall and slush can change the thickness of ice in a short period of time.
