According to Rod Fedoruk, the province's Winter Cereals Development Commission Interim Chair, it's estimated that the total acreage of Winter Wheat in Saskatchewan will increase by ten, by the year 2018.

Fedoruk says Saskatchewan presently has between 400,000 and 600,000 acres of winter wheat.

He adds that the province could see close to 4 million seeded Winter Wheat acres by 2018.
