The town of Lampman is a thriving community located approximately 51 kms northeast of Estevan on Highway 361, and plays host to many agriculture and oil related businesses. Situated in the heart of the oilfield in the southeast corner of Saskatchewan, Lampman is an excellent place to live. History

The Lampman area was first settled in 1890 with the railroad arriving around 1909. The Village of Lampman was founded on Sept. 13, 1910, and named after Canadian poet, Archibald Lampman, who is regarded as Canada's finest 19th century English language poet. Lampman's poetry was best known for his ability to describe Canada's rural life and the wonders of nature.
