The annual event every oilfield employee looks forward to, the OTS Oilmens Bonspiel, wrapped up Saturday evening at the Power Dodge Curling Center, also concluding another season of exciting curling in Estevan.

Eagle Oilfield, composed of Cody Grimes, Micky Grimes, Debbie Bourhis and Kevin Anderson, took the A Final. The B Final was conquered by Brent Gedak Welding, and the C Final by TS&M Fiberglass.

"It went really good. We had two full days of curling, and we had 26 teams show up. Lot's of action going on and a lot of people having a good time," reflected OTS committee member Devon Fornwald, adding that the storm convinced many folks to stay put and enjoy the activity on the sheets, as well as the social aspect.

(L-R) Cody Grimes, Micky Grimes, Debbie Bourhis and Kevin Anderson won the A event of the OTS Oilmen's Bonspiel.

"It's to bring people together from all corners of the oilfield. You've got your operations, your service, your maintenance people, and lots of times they don't get a chance to socialize with a lot of these people outside of work. It brings them all together, they have a good time, meet new people, get some contacts. It's really good for the industry and it's good for the (Estevan) Curling Club."

Fornwald also noted that many of the competitors bring some high caliber curling to the ice, especially in the final draws.
