The Estevan Meter AA Peewee Bruins fell to the Weyburn Wings Wednesday night in game one of the best of three series.

The Bruins were up three to one, and Head Coach Aren Miller on the game Wednesday night, "Well, I mean it was a tight game, as it came right down to the end. We were down one nothing going into the second, we made some adjustments. Everything we wanted to do we found some success and got up 3 to 1, and then for whatever reason one the kids got up two goals they started playing as individuals again. Instead of playing to our strengths we started playing into theirs and they took advantage and got the last 3 goals of the period and then in the last period both teams had good chances going back and forth. But no one could find the back of the net."

When asking Coach Miller it the rivalry against Weyburn has affected the Peewee group as well, "Pretty much, these kids have grown up with that rivalry already and it's obviously amped up for the playoffs, where there is obviously a lot more people in the stands than usual. And we have a pretty good plan against those guys, and if we play the right way we do have success against them. We've known that right from the regular season, we've played these guys 9 times already. And if we don't play the right way, unfortunately, they beat us. Now the onus is on us to go up there on Saturday and get a win and bring it back for game 3, and if not that's it for this year."

Game two between the Peewees is this Saturday in Weyburn.
