The Estevan Atom Cudas have wrapped up another season of football, and despite being officially non-competitive, it turned out pretty successful.

"We completed the season with one win, two losses and one tie," shared Coach Kevin Mortensen, "We scored 65 points, and we had 66 scored against us, so we did pretty well, I thought."

10 or more of his players will move on to their first competitive football next year, to the Peewee Chargers, and he expressed hopes that they would stick with the program.

"Hopefully they turn pro, but I don't want to get the carriage ahead of the horse," he chuckled, "They just seem to improve a little bit better every year, their mentality towards the game."

Mortensen added that one standout from the year was versatility of the young players, stepping up where they were needed and filling the role satisfactorily.
