It was too little, too late for the Bantam Estevan Knights on Monday night in game three of their semi-final series with the Redvers Rockets.

After splitting games one and two, game three returned to Estevan in the Power Dodge Ice Centre with a trip to the Moose Mountain Hockey League final on the line.

It was the Redvers Rockets who would open the scoring on a pair of goals just 16 seconds apart. Adding one more near the mid-way point in the period, the Rockets took a 3-0 lead over the Knights into the second.

Colby Durr got the Knights on the board with his unassisted marker to cut the lead to 3-1. The Rockets would then extend their lead with a late goal in the period.

Down 4-1 to start the third, the Knights would make a valiant effort in their comeback attempt. Kaleb Bechtold scored for the Knights just over a minute into the period, with Connor Terness and Alec Walldegger drawing the assists. Just minutes later, Connor Terness would get Estevan within one, on his first goal of the game, coming unassisted.

With 6:30 left to play in the period, Redvers would score to take a 5-3 lead. Inching back into the game once more, Terness would score to pull the Knights within one, seeing Kaleb Bechtold and Kordel Duncan picking up the helpers.

Going back and forth once again, Redvers extended their lead to 6-4, only to see Colby Durr pull the Knights to a one goal deficit with 1:08 left on the clock.

That would be all from the Power Dodge Ice Centre, as the Bantam Knights would fall 6-5, seeing Redvers move on to the league final.
