After a scoreless 1st period, the Big Six's leading scorer in the playoffs Drew Hoff would get the home team on the board. Hoff received a pass from behind the net from Remi Lamotte, and Hoff's quick shot was partially stopped by Carnduff's Cody Dumaine but trickled over the the goal line 55 seconds into the 2nd period.

It remained 1-0 Redvers heading into the final period. After being kept in check through the first two periods, Carnduff's offence woke up and threw everything they had at Thomas Bauche and the Redvers net. Devon Carriere deflected a shot off the post a minute into the 3rd, while Shawn Gallant hit the post minutes later and Mark Moriarty rang a shot off the crossbar halfway through the period. Moments later, Brandon Trask fired a one-timer from the hash marks but was robbed by Bauche to keep the score 1-0.

With four minutes to play, Redvers would earn a powerplay and a chance to get the insurance goal. With only 4 seconds left on the man advantage, they would make it count.

A point shot was stopped by Dumaine but the rebound stopped in front for Brady Fidierchuk, and the veteran made no mistake shovelling the puck home to make it 2-0 Redvers with just over two minutes remaining in regulation.

With 1:30 left, Carnduff would pull the goalie for the extra attacker. After a faceoff win with less than a minute to play, Blake McMillen's point shot pinballed past Bauche to cut the lead to 2-1 with 52 seconds remaining.

However, the Rockets would keep the puck in Carnduff's zone until there was only 15 seconds left. The Red Devils rushed up the ice and dumped the puck in the corner, but would be unable to center the puck out front for a scoring chance. The final seconds ticked off the clock and the Rockets' bench leaped onto the ice in jubilation as Redvers became the 2018 Big Six Champions.

Captain Jordon Miller raised the Lincoln Memorial Trophy over his head after accepted it and the championship banner from Big Six President Rae Wright.

Redvers went undefeated in the Big Six playoffs, winning all nine games en route to the title.
