Three games went down in the Big Six Hockey League on Saturday night.

The first place Carnduff Red Devils played host to the Wawota Flyers in what turned out to be a bit of a marathon. While both teams netted a goal in the first period, as well as the third, it took a fourth frame to bring the game to a decision, with Carnduff coming up with the overtime winner for a final score of 3-2.

The basement dwelling Arcola/Kisbey Combines hit the road to Oxbow to take on the Huskies. Four goals from the home squad was answered by only one from the visitors in the first frame. The second period saw things settle out a bit, as the Huskies were able to find the mesh only once, however, they added another five to the cage in the third frame. Despite Arcola answering with another two, the scoreboard read 10-3 for Oxbow in the end.

Meanwhile in Yellow Grass, the Wheat Kings opened their doors to do battle with the Carlyle Cougars. Home goaltender Terrick Wilderman kept the puck out of his net for the entirety of the first frame, whilst his teammates racked up two tallies on their opponents. Two goals were seen from each in the second period, while in the third one went unanswered by Carlyle as Yellow Grass marked three more on their scoresheet. The pair skated off the ice at the end with the Wheat Kings victorious 7-4.
