Another weekend of Big Six Hockey continued on Saturday, as two exciting and close games took place.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The third place Wawota Flyers headed down to Bienfait to face some of the top scorers in the League on the Coalers line. Those faces would step once again to tally another win.

Kyle Garagan was the first to find the net, doing so not even 30 seconds into the game, while Brennan Wrigley followed suit a couple minutes later. Wawota's Kevin Lincoln then closed the gap later in the period. Payton Benning added a goal for Bienfait after the first intermission, while Kent Sauter did the same for the Flyers. A scoreless third period then ensued to end the game 3-2 for the fourth place Coalers.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile the Redvers Rockets, close on the heels of first place Carnduff Red Devils, hosted the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings. The visitors headed to the locker room after the first frame with a 3-2 lead, however, that would be as far as they got. The Rockets rallied in the second period with two goals, followed by an empty though intense third period for a 4-3 win.

The action resumes on Sunday night, when the Midale Mustangs head to Carnduff to pit themselves against the Red Devils at 5:00 PM, while Yellow Grass hits the road to do battle with the Oxbow Huskies at 7:30 PM.
