For already the second and final time this year aside from playoffs, the Carlyle Cougars would pplay against the Redvers Rockets this time in Carlyle. After losing the first meeting between these two teams, the Cougars won 2 straight to improve to 2-2 while Redvers had not played another game since.

The scoring would start on the stick of Brent MacLean as he got his first goal of the season just a minute and twenty four seconds in.

The Cougars have been relying on the stick of their captain Ben Johnstone for most of the season so far, who had nine of his team's twenty goals coming into this game, and he'd add his first assist of the season on the first of two goals by Nathan Deck six minutes into the first and the second coming less than two minutes later on the power-play to make it a 3-0 game in the first ten minutes of the first.

That score would stand still until only the six minutes left in the second when captain Johnstone scored his tenth of the season to put Carlyle up 4-0. Redvers would answer the bell shortly though thanks to their leading scorer Kenton Miller, leaving it at 4-1 at the end of two.

In the third period there would be another three goals added to the board with the Rockets firing almost everything at Landon Audet. They'd get one passed him early on the period again from Miller, but that would be as close as they'd get. The Cougars would add two more before the end of the game from Johnstone and Clayton Geiger's first of the year on the power-play, giving them the 6-2 victory.

Landon Audet was solid all night for the Cougars. He faced 40 shots total and stopped 38. Next up for the Cougars is a meeting with the Arcola/Kisbey Combines on November 30th. He's been in the net for every game of the Cougars this year for a Goals Against Average of 2.79.

As for the Rockets, they get only the third game of their season underway against the Bienfait Coalers this Saturday. Our next Big Six broadcast will be the first ever broadcast from Kipling as the Kipling/Windthorst Oil Kings host the Wawota Flyers.
