The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins put on a lethal offensive display during the annual SJHL Showcase in Saskatoon.

The Bruins will return home to Estevan on Tuesday night after splitting their two games at the Hamm Latrace Arena in the Bridge City.

The Battlefords North Stars avenged an overtime loss to the Bruins from Saturday night with an 8-6 victory over Estevan in a matinee on Monday.

Then on Tuesday afternoon, the black-and-gold continued their offensive onslaught while shoring up the defensive end with an 8-3 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

The showcase, which allows hockey minds and scouts the chance to see players from all 12 teams in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) in the same location, provided some of the Bruins' veterans a chance to show why they should be considered as top players in the league.

Zach Goberis Is In His 3rd Season With Estevan.Leading the way, as they have done all season long to this point, were linemates Zach Goberis and Michael McChesney. Each player registered a hat trick in Tuesday's win against La Ronge, with McChesney assisting on one marker.

After playing on the same line all year last season, the two american-born forwards for Estevan have started 2017/18 right where they left off.

Goberis (7G, 9A) leads the SJHL in points (16) after his first six games. McChesney (8G, 4A) is third in scoring but leads the pack with eight goals in his first six games. Battlefords' captain Layne Young (7G, 8A) is sandwiched in between the Bruins' duo with 15 points in only five games.

As a team, after scoring 14 goals in just two games in Saskatoon, are far and away the top scoring team in the SJHL with 32 goals in six games (averaging 5.3 goals per game).

The Bruins' return to Estevan to kick off a home-and-home against the Yorkton Terriers this weekend. These two teams last saw each when the Bruins' eliminated Yorkton in Game 5 of last season's SJHL Quarterfinal series.

Friday's game in Estevan starts at 7:30, with a Tailgate Party preceeding the game at Affinity Place beginning at 5:30pm.

Saturday's rematch in Yorkton also begins at 7:30, with the pregame show and broadcast on Rock106 at 7:20.
