A busy weekend of baseball is set to go in the southeast, and across the province as some local teams hit the road.

The Peewee Estevan Crown Cubs are in Moosomin, where they do battle with nine other teams for a AA Tier 4 title. They start Friday morning against Muenster, and wrap up round robin play Saturday evening against Moosomin, with medal games scheduled for Sunday.

Meanwhile, Carnduff hosts the Peewee AA Tier 2 championship, a 10 team pool that includes the Carnduff Astros.

The Midget AAA Southeast Twins, after losing their bid for a AAA provincial slot, head to Unity to partake in the AA Tier 1 tournament.

The Southeast A's head to Regina for playoff action, and begin play on Saturday morning, finishing Sunday afternoon.

In the Saskota Baseball League, the race for the title will be a tight one during the playoff Harbourne Memorial Tournament. The Oxbow Chiefs and Estevan Tap House Wolves are first and second in the standings respectively. Estevan, defending the championship that they won last year, will face the very opponents they defeated in that final, a Chiefs squad hungry for revenge. That action gets underway Friday evening and wraps up on Sunday.
