Saskatchewan Hockey Association provincials are almost ready to get underway for some of the teams in the Big Six Hockey League as well as both male and female minor hockey teams in the area.

In the senior A division, The Big Six’s Yellow Grass Wheat Kings are playing against Milestone in a best of three series starting Jan. 31 at Yellow Grass. They play Jan 4 at Milestone for Game 2 and if necessary, game 3 will be Valentine’s Day in Yellow Grass.

The Carnduff Red Devils will take to the ice in a two game total goal series Feb. 9 at Southery and then Feb. 16 at home in the senior B division. Senior C will have the Redvers Rockets taking on Ochapowace in a series that has to be done by Feb. 17, and the senior D division has Wawota and Craik battling in a series that needs to be done by March 3.

The midget A provincial action gets underway in Lampman Feb 5 and the return match Feb 12 as they take on Yorkton. Estevan wont’ be playing until a future round, Feb. 23 at Swift Current and March 5 at home.

The bantam A boys will have to have their two game total goal series against Yorkton completed by March 3, as will the peewee A boys, who also play against Yorkton.

The peewee female bearcats will need their series against Melville completed by March 4.
