It was a hard match, that turned out painful in more ways than one for the ECS Elecs in a 51-15 loss to the Swift Current Colts on Saturday.

"It was very similar to our game against Weyburn, almost like a replay. First pass was nice and close, back and forth, both teams were making plays on both sides of the ball. The Elecs had a 4-2 lead before Swift Current began to catch up," noted Elecs Head Coach Mark Schott.

"They were able to make some good plays to close up the half and create some separations. It was 30-15 at the half for Swift Current."

However, the injuries began to pile on for Estevan, and the Colts saw that as their opportunity to press. Press they did, to a 36 point lead that would secure a win.

"We have a few players we need to get an injury update on to determine their status for a quick turn around," added Schott.

The Elecs' next action is in Moose Jaw on Thursday, taking on Central Collegiate.
