It wasn't the greatest start the ECS Junior Girls basketball team could have had to their season, but improvement was the general trend throughout their first home tournament of the year.

They fell into fourth place overall, by 53-38 score in their last game to the Fillmore Falcons on Saturday.

On Saturday, I thought my girls played a lot better than Saturday, stated Coach Kevin Kobitz, "They gave a lot better effort...and I've seen some good things in the outcome of that game."

He added that their defensive play was their strength throughout the event, while rebuilding the offense will be an ongoing effort as the season progresses.

The girls take a break over Christmas before hitting the court again in January.
