For the first time this season, the ECS Elecs senior boys volleyball team came home from their tournament as champions.

The Elecs would finish round robin play with a record of 7 wins and 3 losses, for a second place finish in their pool.

Elecs win: 25-21, 25-17 over Moose Jaw Vanier
Elecs win: 25-19, 25-16 over Regina Miller
Elecs split: 25-14, 15-25 against Saskatoon E.D.Feehan
Elecs split: 19-25, 25-14 against Regina Campbell
Elecs split: 23-25, 25-22 against Oxbow

The Elecs would defeat Saskatoon Christian 25-21 and 25-22 for a trip to the tournament semi-finals against a tough opponent in Balgonie Greenall. In the semi-finals, ECS would come out on top winning 28-26 and 25-13 to move on to the tournament final.

The Elecs would meet the host Campbell Tartans and would come out on top winning 25-16 and 25-23.

"It was a great weekend, it was really exciting for our boys," explained the boys Head Coach Nathan Johnson. "That win against Weyburn last Wednesday really kick started our second half. Getting this tournament win is a really big deal, there was some strong 5A teams there, the boys should be proud."

The Elecs will look to carry that momentum into this coming weekends tournament in Moose Jaw before hosting their home tournament to end off the month of October.
