Jack McGeough from the Estevan comprehensive school is heading to the University of Saskatchewan to play volleyball.
"I'm super excited for Jack," shared assistant coach, Kevin Perkins. "He's a good kid and he's a smart kid so the university part isn't going to be a problem for him at all."
"He's come a long way since Grade 9 when I first saw him and I'm su[per excited for him"
Jack, who stands at 6'9" fits right in on the volleyball court.
"And his strength has come a long way even this season. He was always tall and could always keep the ball down but this year he definitely started hitting the ball harder and scoring a lot more points for us."
McGeough is heading to the same university as his head coach, Nathan Johnson.
"Nathan played at a national level and I think Nathan is a hard worker and I think Nathan put a lot of those skills towards Jack and a good work ethic."
Perkins added that it's nice to see a Saskatchewan kid stay in the province.
