After a dramatic ending to part one in Estevan last week, the ECS Elecs fell short in Weyburn on Tuesday night during the second half of the 83rd McLeod Series.

Estevan was looking to complete the four-peat after losing 33 years in row, but their valiant effort just wouldn't be enough.

This time it was the senior boys' teams who would duke it out first, which would see the Eagles defeat the Elecs, 96-79.

Weyburn's win would give them a lead of 274-258 heading into the senior girls' game with a 16 point lead.

The deficit proved to be too much for the Elecs to overcome in the game between the senior girls’ squads, as the Eagles went on to win, 61-56. With the victory, Weyburn won three of the four games and took the total points in the series by a final of 335-314.

If there's one thing that can be said about the McLeod Series, it is a must see event for sports fans in south east Saskatchewan.
