Thursday afternoon saw another tough loss for a struggling ECS Elecs football squad.

They fell 64-16 to Moose Jaw Central, and according to Head Coach Mark Schott, it started going downhill right from the beginning.

"We got off to a shaky start. We fumbled the opening kickoff, then Central came out and scored a touchdown right away. On the following offensive series we got backed into our own end and instead of punting, we gave up the safety. We dug ourselves a bit of a hole to start the game."

He added that the offense was trying to adjust to the second string quarterback, with their starter out for injury.

"Eventually we were able to sustain some drives and put up a touchdown on a long run by Jonah Bachorick, but we had a tough time moving the ball. Central's a good team on both sides of the football, and we were asking a lot out of our defense to come through for us, being out on the field as long as they were against a high powered offence like Central."

The Elecs final game of the season before playoffs takes place Tuesday in Yorkton against the Gridders.
