The bats are finally being put away by Estevan Minor Baseball for the year, with the season and now the fall ball sessions wrapped up for the year.

"For the couple sessions that we did have, I thought they went really well. It's just unfortunate that we didn't have the weather that we did last year," said EMB's High Performance Director and the man in charge of the sessions, Blaine Kovach, "This year, not quite as much as I'd really hoped for, but hopefully next year things a little better and I can organize a little more adventure."

He added that their 2019 edition of fall ball may even include a competitive element.

"If we can get the weather, (we're) looking into maybe making a couple fall ball teams, and actually competing against some other centers and their fall ball organizations. We'll see what we can dig up for 2019."

Annual General Meetings and preparations for spring, as well as addition training for himself, will keep Kovach busy throughout the winter.
