Estevan's Minor Football teams saw rough weekend on the field in Weyburn.

The Bantam Oilers headed to their Highway 39 rival to take on the Falcons. However, they never found the endzone, or the scoreclock for that matter for a 58-0 loss.

"The kids tried as hard as they could. We were short on numbers, and had a few people go down with injuries so that set the bench a little bit shorter," said Head Coach Paul Duncan, "Weyburn did a really good job capitalizing on turnovers as well, and just kind of dictating the tempo to us."

Meanwhile, the Peewee Chargers were also in Weyburn to play the Ravens. They too had trouble generating points and eventually dropped a 62-0 decision.

The Chargers' next action is on the 22nd in Estevan against Weyburn, while the Bantams host the Swift Current Steelers.

The Atom Cudas also took on the Cardinals, with the most success of any of their fellow EMF teams, coming away with a 21-6 loss.

"They didn't overpower us by any means, we just had a couple of missed blocks that ran in for a touchdown, a couple of missed plays here and there. We moved the ball pretty well, and we threw a couple of pass plays in," shared Head Coach Kevin Mortensen, noting that the later is a common call at the Atom level of football, "One got flagged for a penatly so they had to move the ball back, and on the other we moved it a few yards."

"We snagged an interception, but they said our player's knee was down, otherwise I think he would have been in the endzone."

The Atoms play again on Saturday, September 22nd in Estevan.
