A tough season full of learning moments and lessons came to an end over the weekend for the Estevan Big Dogs with a pair of losses to the Saskatoon Swat.

"The boys played hard, we just fell short I guess," said Manager Roxanne Pratt, "Overall, we've seen a huge improvement with most of the players. A few that we had had never played lacrosse before, and it takes time to catch on to the sport."

They came away with a 0-12 record, however, a young team in this league often means that fresh faced 16 year olds are pitted against experienced 21 year olds.

Pratt hopes that they'll have all 25 players back for a stronger and more experienced team next year, but it's too early yet to know what the next season will hold.
