For the first time in 21 years Estevan hosted Girls 3A Soccer Provincials in the Energy City. Held down at the Woodlawn and Chow fields, the local team was unable to come out on top, but valuable lessons were learned.

"Hosting went over really well. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and some commented that they enjoyed the facilities too," shared coach Stacy Murphy.

"It wasn't the outcome we were looking for, but I think it was a really good experience for all of the girls, to get that under their belt. We have an idea, going into next year, of what the teams will be like."

She added her thanks to everyone involved in organizing the occasion and helping out all day.
