Estevan Minor Football is looking ahead to another exciting season of the sport, and filling the line of scrimmage with new bodies starts at the end of March, with City Wide Registration.

"We're looking to hopefully garner a large crowd out and increase the numbers for football," shared President Paul Duncan.

If they get the lines that they hope to see though, the wait could end up being a frustrating one. However, the group may have a solution.

"We're looking to launch our mobile point of sales system this year. Rather than pull out a cheque to register, we'll be able to do debit and all that kinds of stuff as well. That should be handy for people."

Duncan added that they'll be out and about in the public eye in the meantime.

"We're helping out this year with the Estevan Strippers tournament, doing some time-clocks and stuff like that, so we're looking for some volunteers for that as well.

He expects spring training to take place sometime in June, as they hope to improve on last season's results.

"There's a lot of room for growth and improvement, much like there is with any type of organization, whether you're winning championships or plugging along like we were. Anytime that we can get more out to play this wonderful sport that we have, with the teamwork that it builds and confidence that it helps build in kids, it's always exciting to be a part of that."
