The Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association (SLA) has announced a new minor lacrosse league that includes cities and towns in southern Saskatchewan. The new South Sask Lacrossee League (SSLL) will include teams from Moose Jaw, Weyburn, Swift Current, Estevan and play with Queen City Minor Lacrosse leagues.

"We've been wanting this for years," shared Marc Seeman, President of the Estevan Minor Box Lacrosse. "We'll have more teams to play, other than Regina and Weyburn. We have Moose Jaw, Swift Current and hopefully other associations join too."

He adds that as other cites and towns start lacrosse teams, they will be able to join the league.

"It's a skill level too, you play different skills and get better."

Seeman was also exited to be able to meet more teams and have a more rounded schedule.

Estevan Minor Box Lacrosse will host a 'Bring a Friend' night at the Leisure Centre in the Multi-Purpose Room on Tuesday, January 23rd for ages 4 – 10 at 6:00 – 7:00 pm and ages 11 & up 7:00 – 8:00 pm.
