Curling out of the Power Dodge Curling Centre in Estevan, Team Saskatchewan was unable to find their way into the playoffs at the Travelers Curling Championship.

In another close game on Thursday afternoon, Saskatchewan would go head to head with Team Alberta and lose 5-4. Team Saskatchewan lost by a combined four points in their three losses and leave Kingston with a 3-3 record.

 


Entering the final day of tournament play on Thursday, Team Saskatchewan continued to roll along by picking up their second straight win. The rink from Estevan managed to score four in the 5th end and would go on to beat Team Nunavut, 9-6. Sitting at 3-2 with one more game on the schedule against Team Alberta, the men from Saskatchewan will look to secure a spot in the playoffs with a win.


Looking to avenge their loss from Tuesday, Team Saskatchewan entered play on Wednesday morning with a 1-2 record.

Going up against the 1-1 team from New Brunswick, the men from Estevan put forward a solid performance and sealed the game in the 6th end with a four spot. New Brunswick would add one in the 7th, but it would be the rink curling out of the Power Dodge Curling Centre that would take the 6-3 win and improve their record to 2-2.

Team Saskatchewan will play Nunavut and Alberta to wrap up tournament play on Thursday.


On Tuesday afternoon, Team Saskatchewan and Team Newfoundland and Labrador were both looking to move up to 2-1 in the standings.

In a back and forth game, it was Newfoundland and Labrador who would come out on top in a close 6-5 game.


Team Saskatchewan kicked off their tournament draw on Monday night at the 2017 Travelers Curling Championship in Kingston, Ontario.

In game one, the team curling out of the Power Dodge Curling Centre in Estevan, beat team Quebec 5-4 with a single in the last end to wrap up the victory and move to 1-0.

The team of Wade St. Onge, Ryan Hansen, James Gordon and Adam Himmelspeck got day two started on Tuesday morning with a close and hard fought loss to Team British Columbia. With the game tied at 5-5 in the 8th end, British Columbia was able to score a pair and seal the 7-5 win to grab their first of the tournament, while Saskatchewan falls to 1-1 after the loss.

Later on Tuesday afternoon, the men from Estevan will take on Team Newfoundland and Labrador at 3:00.

Wednesday, November 22nd will see one game against New Brunswick at 8:00 a.m. which can be viewed upstairs at the Power Dodge Curling Centre.

On Thursday, November 23rd, Saskatchewan will take on Nunavut and Alberta to wrap up tournament play.
