Estevan Sharks mini-Atom players race to the ball
The Estevan Sharks Water Polo Club participated in a tournament this weekend in Regina. Eight teams from the club were in play. 
 
had 8 teams in the pool at tournaments in Regina over the weekend. 

The Mini-Atom co-ed, Atom Girls and Atom Boys had games on Saturday. Many of the under 10 minis had never participated in a tournament at the Lawson Centre in Regina.

"Players showed good focus," stated Heather Tobin, "and remembered the basics as they faced teams from Regina and Weyburn. Coaches Chad Knoll, and Charlotte Andrist were proud of their young squads.
 
The 12u Atom Girls, although shorthanded due to both illnesses and injuries, continued thier undefeated season. Every player on the team managed to get a point.
 
The 12u Atom Boys weren't as fortunate, coming away with only one win, but they stayed competitive. 
 
"Since our last tournament 1 week ago, these young men have advanced by leaps and bounds!" says Coach Sarah Niebergall It won't be long until they are winning more games. Veteran players Shiven Sangar & Brooks Milford showed great leadership throughout the day. Carson Stopanski, Brody Turner each scored several times in all games. 
 
The u14 bantam teams played on Sunday.
 
The Bantam girls had a strong showing winning three of their four games.
"The teamwork and athleticism shown by these girls is incredible," shared Heather Tobin. "When facing a very tough Regina team Lily Knoll was unbeatable in goal for the Sharks.
 
Both 

Bantam boys divisions were in the water on Sunday afternoon as well. 

"Since their last tournament in October, the boys' teams have both turned things around and dominated in the pool on Sunday with the Tiger Sharks winning all of their games against Regina Armada and the Weyburn Hurricanes with huge scoring games of 5-3, 8-1, 7-6 and 8-2."

"The Reef Sharks also played great and came away with 3 wins and 1 loss against the Regina Armada team at the end of the day."

Coach Dzeryk shared that there is still room to grow but was still very pleased with the scores.

The Bantam Boys Sharks team consisted this weekend of the following players this weekend: Jace Carritt, Logan Dalziel, Lucas Dzeryk, Ethan Elliott, Josh Heleta, Dierks Milford, Noah Mvula, Lyndon Sauder, Nathan Threinen and Tristan Threinen.
