The Estevan Taekwondo Club is preparing to host a number of clubs from across the province on Saturday when they host their invitation tournament.

"Clubs from Saskatoon, Warman, Osler, Regina, Oxbow, Lampman and Rooks Karate from here in Estevan will be participating," explained the clubs Head Instructor, Wayne Brown.

Things get underway inside the ECS gymnasium with opening ceremonies at 9:45, followed by patterns.

"Patterns are a pre-designed sequence of movements and blocks and attacks that participants will be demonstrating. Some of these patterns can be up to over 100 moves, so a lot of discipline and a lot of practice and patience."

"We will have a board breaking demonstration during the lunch hour as well. After that we will start with the sparring part of the tournament," Brown concluded.
