The Estevan Taekwondo Club is looking forward to a new year of excitement.

"We always host our own tournament in November and we also go to one in Saskatoon and maybe the one in Warman," explained Vice President of the club, Simone Saigeon. "We're also looking at sending a team to worlds in South Africa so definitely some big things for this year."

The club encourages people and families of all ages to give the sport a try.

"Anyone and everybody is welcomed to come out. Age doesn't matter and it can be a great family work out as well. We do run a mini class that runs for six to seven year olds on Thursday nights from 6:00 to 6:30. Our beginner class runs on Monday and Thursday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 for anyone 13 and up and our adult class runs from 7:30 to 9:00 on Monday and Thursday nights."

A table will be set up at city wide for any questions people may have.

"We will have black belts and members of the board at city wide if people want to come and see what we're about. I recently earned my black belt so I'm looking forward to getting in and doing some more black belt training. I'm just looking forward to getting back and seeing everyone," Saigeon concluded.
