It wasn't a dominating score, but it added another tally to the win column to make it five straight for the Southeast Midget Goldwings.

They were in Swift Current on Saturday to take on the Broncos, where Haley Labbie put the Goldwings on the scoresheet several minutes in. Paris Appel tied it up before the frame was over, however, for a score that would last until exactly 40 seconds into the second period. Kendra Kotylak potted one from Taylor Rooney and that would be all that was required for a 2-1 victory over the Broncos.

"It was a good game. We played one of the lowest teams in the standings and it was only 2-1, we definitely could have played better but we came out with the win, so we're still happy," said Head Coach Al Ohrt.

The key will be confidence without over confidence Tuesday night, as the Goldwings take on the Regina Rebels.

The Goldwings retain their stranglehold on first place in the Sask Female Hockey League, now with ten wins and a single loss.
