After two season with the Estevan Bruins, 21-year-old forward Hayden Guilderson has commited to play for the University of Victoria Vikes this fall.

In 116 career games in the SJHL, Guilderson scored 33 goals, adding 63 assists during that time. The Chilliwack, British Columbia product thrived in the playoffs for the Bruins, scoring 6 goals and 14 assists in 21 playoff games.

"I chose to become a student athlete a UVic because of the academic opportunity and the tradition," Guilderson told vikeshockey.com. "The campus is amazing, and the hockey team is constantly evolving. I'm excited for the next four years of playing competetive hockey and earning a degree."

Guilderson joins a pair of SJHL alumni on the roster, including Logan Nachtegaele and Liam Shaw. Kindersley Klippers forward Eddie May has also commited to play for the Vikes this fall.

The 21-year-old becomes the first Bruin this offseason to announce his commitment to play at the university level.
