For the fifth time in franchise history, the head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders has been named the Canadian Football League’s Coach of the Year.

Chris Jones received the Annis Stukus award at the annual CFL Awards ceremony in Edmonton Thursday night.

In his third season at the helm of the storied franchise, Jones led the team to a regular season record of 12-6. The 12 wins matched the most for the team since 1970 and secured the Riders their first home playoff game in five years.

Out of a possible 60 votes, Jones received 41 first place votes.
