The WHL Bantam draft took place yesterday, and saw two players from the area selected.

Estevan's Alex Von Sprecken was taken by the Spokane Chiefs, 116th overall in the 6th round. The defenseman suited up for the Notre Dame Hounds Bantam prep program finishing his season with 3 assists and 42 penalty minutes in 30 games played.

It was Carnduff's own Carey Levesque who saw his name selected by the Moose Jaw Warriors, 191st overall in round 9. Also a defenseman, Levesque put up 8 goals and 15 points in 29 games with the Estevan Bruins in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA hockey league.
