Estevan's Wyatt Haux was one of those selected to Team Canada for the World Junior Lacrosse Championships.

"I'm very excited and honoured. It's a pretty big thing in sports for anybody to play for their country. When I found out I was selected I was pretty happy."

He won't have to too much time to revel in the selection as practices begin soon.

"This upcoming week, we're going to meet all the guys. Since it's all over Canada, we don't get very much time together. I think we get around three hours of practising. With most of these players, I've seen them at nationals before, they're not complete strangers."

Team Canada first game of the tournament is on August 8th.
