Local water polo players gave a strong representation of the province once again against several teams from the eastern half of Canada.

Six members of the Estevan Sharks travelled to Toronto, Ontario with U14 Team Sask to compete in the Paul Taylor Memorial Tournament. Consisting of Logan Dalziel, Lucas Dzeryk, Ethan Elliot, Dierks Milford, Noah Mvula and Lyndon Sauder, along with 7 swimmers from Regina, Sask joined 10 other boys division teams in the Etobicoke Olympian Pool over the course of November 23-25.

They hit the water Friday afternoon against the Toronto Titans Tier 1, and pulled out a close 11-10 win. That evening, they carried their momentum through a commanding 31-8 domination of the Toronto Golden Jets.

The next day, they took on Hamilton and held on for a 12-5 victory, before facing the top U14 goalie in the country and the Montreal Mavericks Tier 1. Sask got the scoring started but couldn't maintain the lead, falling 12-4.

The boys were back in the pool on Sunday where they faced the Tier 2 edition of the Mavericks, this time pulling out a 13-1 win. This left them on the A side of the tournament, ending round robin play with 4 wins and 1 loss. This placed them in a Bronze medal matchup against the Toronto Shadow. The Shadow jumped out strong before Sask came rebounding back, but it wasn't enough in a 13-11 loss.

U14 Team Sask will next play in Calgary for the Alberta Open.
