The Estevan Midget Apex Bruins defeated the Regina Capitals, 6-1, this afternoon at Affinity Place.

Coach Riley Hengen shares, "It was a great effort overall. We made some mistakes in the 1st period but in the 2nd and 3rd all four lines were going there for a while, and it showed on the scoreboard. Our forwards were playing well on the forecheck and creating chances for us. I thought defensively we were pretty sharp and Zane was good in the net for us tonight, so it was an overall good team effort."

Coach Hengen adds, "Right now we have a couple of injuries, so we are just waiting for a few players to get healthy again. It's been a slow start to the season for us, but we just have to be patient. Once we get a couple of bodies back here, we will be fine. We go up to Melville this coming weekend for two games. I'm not sure what their team is like so hopefully we can have a good week of practice then have much of the same next weekend."

They will be facing the Melville Millionaires at 4 pm on Saturday.
