Nelson Motors and Equipment showed their support for the 2018 SaskTel Tankard when they presented members of the organizing committee a cheque for $1,000 this morning.

"Curling has pretty deep roots in the agriculture community," shared Alf Tide, Branch Manager with Nelson Motors. "And since that's our business, we thought it was great that Estevan is hosting the Tankard."

He added that events like this bring in many people into the community.

"And I bet half the people in the stands will be farmers."

And Tide shared that he is planning on catching a few games as well.

The Tankard gets underway on January 31st with Opening Ceremonies scheduled for 5:30 pm.
