It was only two games, but southeast product Brayden Pachal and the rest of the Calgary Flames rookies made the best of it as they completed a sweep of the Edmonton Oilers with a 6-3 victory on Wednesday.

Previously on Sunday, they beat Edmonton 7-3. Pachal was among the starting defensemen on Wednesday, and now word awaits as to whether he continues to main camp or is reassigned to the Prince Albert Raiders. Either way, he will continue wearing the WHL teams' green for another year, having been named captain a few months ago.

Meanwhile, Raiders teammate Cole Fonstad will be back in green as well after a prospects stint in red and white with the Montreal Canadians. He leaves behind Cale Fleury, who could play another year with the Regina Pats, but so far has been named to the Canadians' main camp list.

Tanner Jeannot faces a fork in the road and also awaits word as to which direction he will take. Having signed a three year entry level contract with the Nashville Predators, and now completed the NHL Rookie Showcase, he will most likely either be sent to the Preds' feeder team, the Milwaukee Admirals, or directly join the Nashville roster.
