Power Dodge Estevan Bruins forward Zach Goberis and defenseman Mark Edmands have been named players of the week by the SJHL.

The Bruins have stormed out of the gate this season to score a league high 45 goals in eight games, averaging over 5.6 goals a game. The black and gold currently sit atop the Viterra Division with a record of 6-2.

SJHL Player of the week: Zach Goberis

Goberis scored six goals and five assists in four games last week to earn him player of the week honors. The 20-year old from Colorado leads the SJHL in scoring with nine goals and eleven assists through only eight games. Linemate Michael McChesney was named runner up for his performance during last week.

SJHL Defenseman of the week: Mark Edmands

Through four games last week, Edmands notched one goal and three assists in a strong defensive performance for the Regina native to give him defenseman of the week.

The Bruins will hit the road to Wilcox on Wednesday, to square off with a Hounds team that sits 3-2-1-1 in the Olympic Buildings Division. Listen live to the Bruins and Hounds starting with the pregame show at 7:20 on Rock 106.
