They opened their regular season with a loss, but the Peewee AA Bruins showed promise nonetheless in a close, 4-3 loss to the Weyburn Wings on Tuesday,

"The kids played really hard. We were tie game right to the last minute. We took a penalty and they scored on the power play with under a minute to win it, so an unfortunate turn of events there," said Head Coach Aren Miller, "For the most part, we took the play to them, just couldn't find a way to win."

He added that quite a few players shone through in the game, and the mistakes that were made are ones that can be easily cleaned up.

The Bruins head to Moose Jaw for the weekend for games on Saturday and Sunday.
