The Peewee Storm rumbled into Melville over the weekend for a tournament, and rolled out as conquerors of all and bearers of gold medals.

They got off to a snappy start against the Regina Royals with an 11-0 victory, before facing some tougher opponents in the Midale Mustangs. However, they came from behind for a 10-5 win, and the same in a 5-2 win over the Melville Mavericks, before defeating the Balcarres Broncos 7-4 for the tournament sweep.

"(There were) a couple slow starts, but they came back and picked it up in a couple come-from-behind wins, so that showed a lot of heart, a lot of determination that the boys had," stated Head Coach Ryan Bohlken.

"The big thing was bonding, the team getting to know each other a little bit more, getting the parents to know each other a bit more, and having some fun. Having some fun on the ice, and learning to play as a team, that was the biggest piece."
