An outstanding season came to an end on Thursday night for the Midget AA Estevan Power Tech Bear Cats in Regina.

With the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League final series tied at 1-1, the powerful Ravens were just too much for the Bear Cats in the decisive game three match up.

Regina kicked off the scoring early in the first with a pair of goals coming just under four minutes into the game. Despite the Bear Cats taking a couple penalties, both Ravens goals came at even strength.

Unable to capitalize on two Regina penalties, the Bear Cats would end up surrendering a goal mid-way through the second period and would take a 3-0 lead into the third.

Scoring the lone goal for the Bear Cats late in the third period was Marci Leblanc, with Karleigh Mackenzie drawing the lone assist. It would be too late for the Bear Cats as the Ravens would hold on to win the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League Final series, 2-1.
