Following the Humboldt Broncos tragic bus accident on Friday night, the Saskatchewan Hockey Association (SHA) has announced they have canceled their SaskFirst Tournament schedule for this weekend in Regina.

In a release from the SHA, they stated that they feel it is a priority for players and their families to be together as people continue to mourn the lost and pray for the survivors, families and communities affected by this horrific accident.

For those involved in the SaskFirst Bantam Program, the evaluations completed at the SaskFirst Showcase Tournament in late December will serve as a basis for the decision of which players will be moving on in the process to create Team Saskatchewan and represent the province at the Canada Winter Games in 2019.

Carievale's Turner McMillen and Caryle's Zane Winter of the Bantam AA Estevan TS&M Bruins were slated to take part in this weekends tournament.
